In this article from Forbes - NAR’s Pending Home Sales Index, which tracks contract signings (as opposed to closed sales), fell 1.1% in October to 104.1, the National Association of Realtors said Wednesday. (An index of 100 represents an “average” level of contract activity.) October’s pending sales missed the 0.6% increase forecast by economists surveyed by Bloomberg ahead of the release, but were 2.2% higher than October 2013, when the index stood at 101.9.
